Dr Ali Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri was born and grew up in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.
He was educated in Al Ain and later did his PHD in South East Asia. He majored in Decision Making of Government Level at University of Malaysia Technology ( UTM) Kuala Lumpur.
Dr Ali is the Chairman of Upwards Technical Solutions LLC (Upwards), an Abu Dhabi based IT company that serves customer in the region for immigration, law enforcement, AI, boarder control system, big data solution, Smart city and traffic solutions ect. Upwards was established as an initiative with UAE local subsidiaries supporting and maintaining key enforcement agencies in UAE. The main objective was to cover Asian and global Market, unlock new sources of revenue and reduce operation costs through best utilization of Technology.
Dr Ali holds an official advisory appointment from the Indonesian government. Dr Ali is also a non -executive Director and Chair of the Investment Committee of TALC, an investment company with its portfolio primarily in Arab and African countries. Dr Ali enjoys an impeccable reputation in the community and in the global oil trading market.
Apart from his role as the Chairman of several companies, Dr Ali is an astute private investor and businessman from the United Arab Emirates (the UAE), with his main operations based in Abu Dhabi. Together with his family, Dr Ali has interests in the IT, Gas -to -Power, Waste - to Renewable Energy, upstream Oil & Gas assets as well as Infrastructure and Utilities sectors.
